Bean Curry

Time Required: 30 Minutes
Servings: 4–6


Ingredients:

  • 2 cans baked beans (or mixed beans)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 Pack Spices 4 Africa Curry Pack (Mild / Medium / Hot)
  • 1–2 tomatoes (optional or tomato onion mix)
  • ½ cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander (optional)

Steps for Cooking:

  • Heat oil in a pot and fry onions until golden brown.
  • Add Curry Pack and stir for 1 minute to release flavour.
  • Add tomatoes (if using) and cook for 3–5 minutes.
  • Add beans and mix well.
  • Add a little water and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  • Season to taste and garnish with coriander.
  • Serve with rice, bread or pap.
