Butter Chicken Recipe
What You’ll Need
• 1 kg cubed chicken fillet
• 2 to 3 heaped teaspoons Spices 4 Africa Butter Chicken Wet Mix
• 1 tub double thick plain yoghurt
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 25 g butter
• 2 large grated or diced tomatoes
• Salt to taste
• Extra butter for finishing
• Fresh cream
• Freshly chopped coriander (optional, for garnish)
How to Cook
1. Marinate the chicken
Marinate 1 kg of cubed chicken fillet with 2 to 3 heaped teaspoons of Butter Chicken Wet Mix and 1 tub of double thick plain yoghurt. Set aside.
2. Fry the onion
Fry 1 large chopped onion in 25 g butter until golden brown.
3. Add tomatoes
Add 2 large grated or diced tomatoes and salt to taste.
4. Add the chicken
When the tomatoes are cooked, add the marinated chicken and simmer until the chicken is fully cooked.
5. Finish the dish
Once cooked, add a dollop of butter and fresh cream.
6. Garnish and serve
Garnish with freshly chopped coriander if desired, and serve.
