Recipe – Potjiekos

What You’ll Need

1 kg Lamb or Beef pieces
-
3–4 heaped teaspoons Spices 4 Africa Potjiekos Wet Mix

1 kg vegetables of choice
-
1 large onion (chopped)
-
2 large tomatoes (grated)
-
1 ladle oil
-
Salt to taste
-
Fresh coriander (optional garnish)
Method

Heat oil in a well-heated potjie pot.

Add onions and fry until golden brown.

Add 3–4 heaped teaspoons of Potjiekos Wet Mix and stir.

Add tomatoes and salt to taste.

Add meat and allow to simmer for a few minutes.

Add vegetables and 2–3 cups of water.
-
Cover and cook slowly on low heat until meat and vegetables are tender.

Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
